naruto « In their second meeting in the forest, Haku could instantly feel that he was similar to himself. Both wanting people's acceptance of them and to be acknowledged by others. Although they don't share the same personality, they both are able to understand each other pretty well, though they didn't know each other for long. Haku found it easy to be with Naruto, he was able to tell him things and also give him some kind words of encouragement. And like Naruto said, if they had met at a different place, a different time, they would have formed a strong, ever-lasting friendship.

sasuke « Both being from advanced bloodlines, and having special abilities, it seems that they felt the need to defeat the other. Though Sasuke was able to match Haku at speed, he was unable to keep up with his opponent's special technique. Both living through the times of civil wars where advanced bloodlines were hated, Haku could also understand the hardships which Sasuke had to face durring his childhood. Though acknowledging each other's strength and further potential, they are also seen as rivals.

gatou « The man who hired Zabuza as his killing dog. Haku absolutely despises this man and vice-versa. Gatou also fears him and Zabuza, he may act all tough because he's wealthy but he is infact a weak man who hides behind hired body-guards. The only reason stopping Haku from taking his life is because they still needed him to pay them for the assassination job.

kakashi « Only just a teeny-weeny bit of interaction between the two, but you can see Kakashi's acknowledgement towards the young shinobi.

similarities

After analyzing some of the manga, I came to the conclusion that Haku, Naruto and Gaara are the 'same'. The three can share the same feelings of lonliness and unwantedness that they all have countered in their lives. Their only set differences would be their unique personalities which give them their character-build up and make them who they are. The three have shown all the hardships they have come across, and the little bit of support they recieved. Though Gaara has a seperate view of 'love' 'strength' and 'power' slowly Naruto's morals begin to rub-off onto him ("A person's strongest when he has something precious to protect"). It is also great to see that Haku's words were still able to guide Naruto even after death and never be forgotten.
